Printing and publishing books by letterpress: Pat Randle

Last summer, due to the cancellation of our summer institute and to keep us all connected, CFPR programmed an online Print and Book Festival.

As part of the festival, we screened a series of ‘shed talks’, where creative practitioners discussed their activities over past months. One of the talks, filmed by CFPR Senior Research Fellow, Angie Butler, was by printer and publisher, Pat Randle, who showed us his new publication, 2020 Vision: featuring nineteen wood engravers, one collector and the artists who inspired them.

Over Easter 2021, Angie re-visited the Whittington Press and filmed Pat, along with Neil Winter (type caster) and Anna Parker (printer), for a more in-depth discussion about 2020 Vision. This talk was screened on 12 May for the Letter Exchange https://www.letterexchange.org/events
