
Fabio D’Agnano
Fabio D’Agnano joins the Centre for Fine Print Research in October 2019 as an Associate Professor as part of our Expanding Excellence in England investment from Research England.
Over the last twenty years, Fabio D’Agnano has gained both industrial and academic experience.
His specialties as an architect are 3D design and digital manufacturing. Since 2009, He has taught at the Iuav Architecture University of Venice, focusing on 3D modeling, deepened 3D printing, and electronic prototyping. In 2011, he founded the postgraduate master’s course in Digital Architecture – MADI.
In addition to his experience in design and 3D modeling, he has experience in design, electronic prototyping, 3D printing, coding, and digital craftsmanship.
Fabio is particularly interested in new teaching methods and serves as a consultant to the Italian Ministry of Education in the field of digital manufacturing in higher education, using the Design Thinking method.
Besides his academic career, he also directed an Architecture firm (Glass Architettura Urbanistica). With this studio, teams of about ten people carried out large-scale projects and won international competitions.
He founded a company called Tooteko, a University spinoff that focuses on making art accessible for the blind through digital models. This company has received the Seal of Excellence from the European Community, and several grants.
