Drawing Robots – Chinese Calligraphy

Associate Professor Fabio D’Agnano collaborated on a drawing robot project with visiting artist Jessica Ho, from Hong Kong Design Institute, during Jessica’s time here at the CFPR studios.

The project aimed to use a robotic arm to imitate the behaviour of hand-writing in traditional Chinese calligraphy. The video below captures the process and outcome.
