Research title: Sustainable and multifunctional protective clothing of graphene-enhanced recycled plastics for healthcare applications.

Commenced: September 2021

Marzia will work on the development of sustainable and multifunctional personal protective clothing from graphene-enhanced recycled plastics, which will provide protection to users from wide range of pathogens including Covid-19. The technology developed will have broad industrial applicability such as medical textiles, protective workwear, home textiles and active-wear.

She has an MSc and BSc in Textile Engineering from Bangladesh University of Textiles (BUTEX), Dhaka, Bangladesh. She is awarded by the prestigious Commonwealth Scholarship-2021 in the UK for PhD.

Marzia’s PhD is funded by Commonwealth Scholarship Commission in the UK.
