Self-Healing and Ultra-Stretchable Hydrogel Strain Sensor Based on Poly (AAm-co-AMPS) for Multifunctional Biomedical Applications
This collaborative research, conducted with the Center for Advanced Electronics and Photovoltaic Engineering (CAEPE) at the International Islamic University, Islamabad, introduces a UV-curable hydrogel strain sensor that combines remarkable flexibility and durability.
The sensor demonstrates:
- Ultra-high stretchability (up to 1000%)
- Rapid self-healing within just 3 seconds
- Excellent stability across more than 1000 strain cycles
- Reliable real-time motion and health monitoring
This innovative material shows tremendous potential for rehabilitation, patient health monitoring, and soft robotics, marking an important advancement in biomedical sensing technologies.
