CFPR Researcher publishes groundbreaking study on Wearable Energy Technology
We are delighted to share that Iftikhar Ali, PhD Researcher at the Centre for Fine Print Research, has successfully defended his viva and published a new research paper in the prestigious journal Energy & Environmental Materials (Wiley), which boasts an impact factor of 14.1.
The article, titled
“2D Material Decorated ZnO for Screen Printable Wearable Textile-Based Piezoelectric Nanogenerator,”
presents an exciting advancement in the field of wearable and self-powered electronics.
In this work, Ali and his co-authors introduce a flexible, screen-printable nanogenerator that uses zinc oxide (ZnO) decorated with 2D nanomaterials. The device efficiently converts mechanical energy- such as motion or pressure- into electrical output, showcasing its potential for next-generation wearable technologies and sustainable energy solutions.
By combining innovative material design with scalable fabrication methods, the research offers a significant step toward practical, eco-friendly, and energy-efficient technologies for the future.
