Benedict Gaster

Dr Benedict Gaster is a associate professor in physical computing at UWE, where they are the lead researcher in the Expressive Computer Interaction group. Recent work looks at the design of new musical instruments. Dr Gaster explores these notions through a post-human lens, with a particular focus of Computing within Limits and the immediate climate emergency. Recent projects include the UKRI + WECA (West of England Combined Authority) ‘Umbrella’ project , the Muses Project, and works closely with Advanced Micro Devices (AMD).
