Laura Morgan- Local Fibres, Digital Tools: Designing Bioregional Colour and Material Systems

This talk will discuss an ongoing body of work that explores alternative approaches to colour and material systems in textile design. By considering the ecological benefits of regionally grown fibres and dyes alongside the creative potential of digital fabrication, it asks how bioregional resources can shape regenerative design practices aligned with sustainable production.

Dr Laura Morgan is a Senior Research Fellow at the Centre for Print Research, UWE. Her research explores how digital technologies can enhance design and production processes, while developing regenerative approaches to colour and materials in the textile industry.
