Research topic: The development of vector-based printing for 2.5D printing
Funded by the Appearance Printing European Advance Research School, A Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions Innovative Training Network, this research study aims to gain improved understanding of the behavior of inks and paints and to develop methodologies for deposition by developing novel methods for structure-based half toning, to better mimic a specific surface structure for realistic appearance printing. The expected outcomes include an in-depth knowledge of methods for depositing materials onto complex surfaces and demonstration of hybrid methods using direct write technologies.
