This week we are talking to collaborative designer and experimental ceramicist Lisa Cole. Her work revolves around turning the intangible into something substantial and functional. She has no visual mind’s eye which she calls a gift rather than a hinderance as it gives her the freedom to link ideas inspired by philosophy, history, poetry and music and turn concepts into solid forms.

Lisa will be talking about her process and findings in Visible and Tactile Sound which was part of her MA in Design at UWE. Her lockdown projects continued to explore the idea of analogue generative artwork and included Bird and Wind Drawings and Poetry Pots. She is also the curator of the Tiny Cat Gallery, a commercial art gallery housed in a cardboard box.
