8 Dec 2021: Laura-Beth Cowley – Crafting a Crafty Witch
Laura-Beth Cowley will be discussing the ways in which she incorporated various readily available 3D printing technologies and materials into her new film Crafty Witch. By combining multiple visual styles and in collaboration with Bristol-based animator Sam Shaw, Crafty Witch makes use of 3D printing for its organic features and natural attributes. The short film represents the final case study for Laura-Beth’s PhD study at the CFPR and was developed to look at the way in which novel aesthetic style profiles can be created for stop-motion animation working both independently and on larger commercial productions.
