House of Prints – Rethinking Prints (recording available)
Tonia Lu, the founder-director of House of Prints will talk about her belief in the role of prints as a democratic art form that has been making a difference historically and now, and the life of House of Prints so far – from its launch in support of the NHS at the early days of the Covid-19 pandemic to its successful (not without obstacle) graduate bursary scheme, and a quieter and reflective 2021. Also joining Tonia will be Glasgow-based printmaker designer Julia Syrzistie, one of the recipients of House of Prints’ first graduate bursary awards. Julia has just finished her time at Hot Bed Press in Salford, expanding her skills in letterpress as part of her bursary award.
