Karen Thompson

Karen joins the CFPR after working as a freelance Events and Conference Manager. She has project managed a wide range of events including team building, product launches, showcases, exhibitions and conferences attracting over 800 international delegates. She has been working as an associate project manager for the last 8 years with the National Co-Ordinating Centre for Public Engagement.

Prior to a short career break Karen was Event Manager at Futurelab Education and was responsible for co-ordinating their seminar and workshop programme, annual conferences and presence at the British Education Technology Trade Show. 

In 2014 she project managed her own house build – which featured on Channel 4’s Building the Dream programme.
