Contemporary printmaking is a hybrid zone where the ranges of new technologies and different media merge and intersect. It is a territory where creations composed of incompatible parts are born and developed. It is a veritable breeding ground for interspecies hybrids.

This exhibition presents works difficult to be classified that still cannot be refused from immanent features of a printmaking medium – creative, two-stage thinking through matrix and print and/or evident multiplicity. However, the exhibition does not focus strictly on printmaking as a tool and technological issues. Instead, it creates a broad, conceptual framework to accommodate innovative and bold ideas that can be fully expressed only through hybrid or augmented printing.
