Steve Beeby is the Director of the Centre for Flexible Electronics and E-Textiles at the University of Southampton and leads the U.K.’s E-Textiles Network. He has received over £20 million research funding and is a co-founder of two University spinouts Perpetuum Ltd. and Smart Fabric Inks Ltd. He has co-authored/edited five books including Energy Harvesting for Autonomous Systems (Artech House, 2010). He has given over 30 plenary/keynote/invited talks and has over 350 publications and an H-Index of 57. His current research interests focus on energy harvesting, e-textiles and the use of energy harvesting in wearable applications. Prof. Beeby is a Fellow of the IEEE and has been awarded a prestigious RAEng Chair in Emerging Technologies in E-textile Engineering.
