CFPR Seminar: The End of the Robot: Rethinking Cognition, Emotion and Form (watch online)
This week we’re excited to welcome Chatrapati Ākula from Vāsthu, a Bristol based robotics company interested in reapproaching robotics, how we perceive robots and whether we can instead start to see them as companions.
The End of the Robot: Rethinking Cognition, Emotion and Form – Chatrapati Ākula (Vāsthu)
‘In the presentation I’m concerned with the question of moving beyond the robot as a concept towards companions that are true to the name, and to be successful in this pursuit we need to rethink form, cognition and emotion. It’s something that I’ve been thinking about for the past couple of years as part of Vāsthu and the reasons, dear to my heart. I would love to share my thoughts with the audience present.’
